Payment and Cancellation Policies
DIVE COURSES
Diving courses are PADI training programs in which the student is assigned an e-learning code and at the end receive a PADI recreational diving certification. These courses may include activities in confined water (swimming pool), open water, knowledge development modules and practical applications.
• Diving courses will only be confirmed with a 100% advance payment within 24 hours of booking. Payment can be made by bank transfer, MB WAY or directly at any of our dive centers using cash, cards*, VISA, or Mastercard.
*Payments made at Cape Verde dive center with international cards are subject to a 4% surcharge.
• The fee paid for access the e-learning platform cannot be refunded under any circumstances after the participant registers (please check the medical questionnaire before registering). After registration access is personal. In the event that you are unable to continue with the practical component with Haliotis, access can still be used at any other PADI dive center, anywhere in the world.
• If there is a need to repeat lessons, whether in confined water or open water dives, for personal reasons such as cold, seasickness, fatigue, learning difficulties or other physical or psychological conditions encountered during the diving activity, these will have the following additional cost:
- Confined water session - half day: 37,50€
- Confined water session - full day: 75,00€
- Open water dive: 62,50€ - (depending on the center where the course takes place, some only offer double dives, therefore, even if only one dive needs to be repeated the participant will have to pay for two dives)
• The no show on a scheduled training day or cancellation of a previously scheduled day with less than 24 hours notice (both without legal reasons) will result in an extra charge for the rescheduled training days of:
- 75€/day for confined water dives not attended
- 125€/day for open water dives not attended
• The advance payment will be refunded for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the activity's start time or alternatively for rescheduling the activity.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start time of the activity, without legal justification, will result in the non-refund of the 100% advance payment.
• For courses with multiple training days, refunds in case of cancellation only apply to the day in which the cancellation period is still more than 24 hours in advance. Example: if you cancel 2 days of training with less than 24 hours notice before the first day, this day will not be refunded, but the following day will be fully refunded.
• No discounts or refunds will be given on the price of activities scheduled and/or carried out with us for personal reasons, such as cold, nausea, fatigue, and other physical or psychological conditions experienced during the diving activity.
• Diving activities related to courses may be cancelled by Haliotis within 18 hours notice due to force majeure, such as weather conditions or other natural events.
DIVING TRIPS, EXPERIENCES, BOAT TOURS, DOLPHIN AND WHALE WATCHING
The following conditions apply to all activities/services that are not diving courses.
• Diving activities will only be confirmed upon prepayment of 100% of the total amount within 24 hours of booking. Payments can be made via bank transfer, MB WAY or directly at any of our centers using cash, cards*, VISA, or Mastercard.
*Payments made at Cape Verde dive center with international cards are subject to a 4% surcharge.
• The advance payment will be refunded for cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance of the activity's start time or alternatively for rescheduling the activity.
